Your tasks

As a project manager focusing on IT Object Leader, you play a key role in Linköping Municipality's governance and collaboration model for digitalization. You are responsible for leading the tactical work within your area of responsibility (administrative object) and actively contribute to the strategic planning to ensure that our IT components meet the needs of the operations - today and tomorrow. In your role, you will be responsible for developing and following up on the object plan together with the object leaders for the operations. This means creating conditions for project and delivery teams to ensure that our digital tools maintain high quality over time. You will also act as a project manager where you lead everything from large, complex procurements and system implementations to smaller but equally important improvement assignments.

Our projects take place in close collaboration with the municipality's core operations (such as education, care, and community building) to ensure that digital solutions support our socially important activities. An important part of the work is to continuously capture the needs of the operations and translate these into solutions that create real benefits for our residents and employees.

We operate from newly built premises in Ebbepark. Based on the tasks, we work both on-site at the office, out in the operations, and remotely.

Your workplace

LKDATA is Linköping Municipality's IT department and is part of the Operational Support and Services administration. Here, about 110 colleagues work to provide IT services to the municipality's operations and, in turn, to users, students, and residents of Linköping. We work process-oriented based on a governance and collaboration model based on pm3 and ITIL Service Management, which allows us to maintain high quality and efficiency across our operations.

You who are applying

We are looking for someone with broad technical competence and the ability to translate operational requirements into technical solutions. We see that you have a university degree in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge in IT that is assessed as equivalent. We see that you have a background in IT and previous experience in project management as well as work in governance and collaboration models (for example, as an object leader). Through your experience, you are comfortable navigating through requirement analyses, feasibility studies, and IT governance.

The role involves many points of contact and dialogues with different stakeholders, which requires you to express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing.

To succeed in the role, we see that you are a structured person who takes great personal responsibility for driving the work forward. You have a good ability to keep track of the whole and ensure that projects meet their goals within both budget and timeline. You enjoy leading and motivating teams, creating a positive work environment, and are interested in how technical solutions can support the operations. With your engagement and clear communication, you build trust within the organization, and thanks to your good collaborative skills, you build strong relationships that help us achieve our common goals.
